On this page you can find some UNIX and Linux clones of our software. Pay attention that in most cases it is not our software, but third-party projects (or community open-sources projects). We are coordinating the development and testing of this software by providing discussion forums, protocols specifications, releases and bug tracking. If you are developer then you are welcome to put your clones of our software here.

TriX

TriX chat based on the VyQChat. The project is released under terms of GNU GPLv2 license. As compared to VyQChat in TriX such new features appears as: files transfer, bulletin board, users avatars, logs, links navigation, broadcast and multicast type of connection, search by IP address and many other, not listed here things.

Now TriX is compatible with 2.0 protocol version of the Vypress Chat (TM) developed by VyPRESS Research, but there are some protocol differences in TriX (needs to support avatars).

TriX writed in C++ with Qt library from Trolltech company. Current version of TriX has been tested under Fedora Core 3...6, Fedora 7, 8, Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 Sarge, Slackware Linux 10.1 and others.

VyQChat

VyQChat is a real-time, text-based, serverless chat program dedicated to LANs. It is almost 100% compatible with Vypress Chat for Windows. It allows you to chat with friends on public or private channels, and send and receive messages etc. The GUI is user- friendly, and there is optional sound support. Developed and distributing under GNU license by Pawel Stolowski (pawel.stolowski@wp.pl)

The source code of this clone also will be availably under GNU license. Please send us these codes back if you improve something in it.

eChat

This is limited-funtionality Linux clone of Vypress Chat. This clone was initially developed by SeaD (Vasily Krysin) (sead@deep.perm.ru). eChat currently supports only restricted set of commands — use /help to get the list of availably commands.

The source code of this clone also will be availably under GNU license. Please send us these codes back if you improve something in it.
